That's why I like the surface cars and trucks. Still a blast. When they break you upgrade to better parts and most likely won't break that part again. However flying is a never ending battle with breaking. Once you get good you start doing tricks and the breaking starts all over again. My buddy has more money in his two Heli's than I do in my 5 trucks/cars and most of mine are fully upgraded. If anyone is looking to start the mini revo and mini savage is an awesome place to start. 50mph out of the box and pricing isn't ridiculous.

There is a flight simulator for rc planes and helis. It teaches you how to fly before you sink lots of money into it. I have one, it's pretty cool

I got the flight sim back when I started flying. Best money I spent since it did a pretty good job of simulating the real thing. I learned very quickly about over steering/correcting, and saved myself way more than the program with controller cost.
