Looking to possibly pick up a 8ft tank. I am considering taking down my reef and just doing a fish only seagrass tank. I'm just getting rather tired of these sissy corals who cant handle a alkalinity spike once in a while!

In all seriousness I am looking at upgrading tanks and downgrading maintenance. I enjoy reefing but its always something (now stupid vortechs went out today). With a baby on the way its just going to make it that much harder to tend to corals. So if you have a 8ft tank I might be interested in buying but would rather trade. I suppose I wont need most of my equipment now if we do work out some kind of trade. I would consider getting rid of (if its a fair and even trade):

125gallon oceanic
Stand
Tons of corals and fish (Moorish Idol stays with me!)
2 vortech MP40's w/ battery backup (on the fritz atm but will have more info when I get home, also still under warranty)
Neptune Apex w/ 2 eb8's, VDM and WXM modules
Lifereef CA reactor with PH probe, 5lb tank and regulator
3 AI SOL Blue fixtures with full set of 40 & 70 degree optics
Litermeter 3 with water change pump
+ some more extras im sure I am forgetting

I will keep the sump, protein skimmer and fuge for my next build.

Willing to entertain offers.

Kind of surprised no vendors have chimed in to let me know what they have or can get...

I was at Fish Den yesterday and they actually had decent prices on their aquariums although I would rather give a vendor here my business.

If you have or have access to 8ft tanks please quote me:
96x24x24 or 96x24x30 - prefer glass but might entertain acrylic if the price is right.

If you happen to be selling the 125gallon, how much would you want for it?

I will more than likely keep the tank unless its part of the trade, I do see 125's on craigslist all the time though.

Curious as to why you prefer glass.
Because I am careless and will end up scratching it. Acrylic is very hard to take care of IMO
