Anyone try or use a solar distiller?

I snaked it out the dryer vent lol, wasnt exactly what i was trying to accomplish, but the wife got tired of me punching holes in the wall only to keep hitting the deck

I think many of us really waste a bunch of water with our RO/DI systems and everywhere else in our houses. A simple home grey water recycling system would cut our overall water bills 35 - 40%. You will just reuse all water except what is flushed down the toilet. The reused water will be used for the toilet flushing or watering the lawn. You would still send the RO/DI water down the drain, but it will just end up back in the grey water recycling system.

I just extended the line for my waste water out to the garden. In the winter it just runs out onto the grass/snow. I have previously used it to fill up the washer to do a load of laundry. It works great except that you have to keep checking on it often.

check out the water general RO units on ebay. i bought one years ago, and it works great. . TDS is usually near or at zero

This is the company I bought mine from 5+ years ago. Below is a link to the kit I have. It does RO/DI for your tank, and RO/Carbon polish for drinking water, and your ice maker. Not a bad kit for $150

I haven't changed the filters in many years, and still getting TDS < 5. I think I need to order a kit to swap everything out.
