Anyone using mangroves in there sump

So I bought 3 mangroves yesterday and I am curious do how deep of water can they be in? How deep of sandbed do they need? Can they have light 24 hours a day?


300 gallon mixed reef
90 gallon bowfront fowlr

I have mine in my 20 long sump. Reverse daylight, 5" of sand. I spray them with ro water every few days.

How deep is your water to your sand?

Water to sand is about 5" they barely stuck out when I got them.

Word of mouth myth. I've grown them with a lot of success fully submerged

Think it all depends on nutrients not tank size.
