I thought it would be a good idea to put some coral on glass and overflow. I tried attaching something to overflow with putty and it didnt work. So i tried with coral glue and it still didnt stick. How doea everyonr else do that or what do u use ?wanna get it figured out before i try sticking monti onto back glass

I got my sunset monti to grown on the side wall (acrylic) by propping the rock it was growing on right next to the wall, it eventually started to grow on the wall and I could remove the rock.

I have heard of others using magnets to attach it to the wall/overflow as well.

You really have to work it with coral glue, but it holds well once you get it. Scrape and twist the frag against the back wall with a nice glob of glue on it. This breaks the film that forms on frag glue when it hits the water which will get it to stick.

Ya, the overflow is a bit easier to glue to once it starts getting some coraline and other things growing on it. I just use a big glob of super glue. If the surface of the overflow is smooth, it will help to rough it up a bit with sandpaper or something along those lines. The glass however is a pain, and I havent been successful with that yet. I can always get it to stick for a while but eventually will fall off. Managed to get gsp to grow up it by sticking it right up against the back wall and letting it grow. It too forever to do so, but growing pretty good now. Even my giant Idaho grape monti that is growing up the back glass is not actually attached and would come away from it easily except that its also firmly attached to the overflow

You only want to scratch the surface of the overflow enough for the glue to stick too
