Ballast failure?

Hey all,

Have a couple of old Ice Cap 660 ballasts. When these things go bad do they die all at once or do you just start losing bulbs? I heard a clicking coming from mine the other night and now only 2 of the bulbs will fire. Swapped the bulb and no dice. Then switched ballasts and it only fired two of the bulbs from the other set of three so appears to be a ballast issue. Guess I figured when they died you lost all the bulbs and not just one of the three. Anyone have a good supplier for the Coralvues since Ice Cap is gone? Looks like they are about $159 online.

Definitely sounds like a dead ballast to me. Blazingjack had a couple available for sale just a little while ago...not sure if he's still holding a couple. I picked up a Workhorse 5 from him though and it's working well.

That was it. Started to get that weird electrical burning smell last night. Then in the middle of the Bronco game I came upstairs and all of my lights are out! Stupid thing blew and knocked out my RK lite. Fortunately it didn't happen while I was gone. Had to unplug everything to get it to come back online. Have a new ballast on the way so my coral will have to suffer for a few days with half the normal light.
