I wouldn't use that way to calibrate it. It can still be off even though the instructions say too. Get some calibtation fluid thay is 35 pt.
Alk is fine anywhere between 7 and 11 I think
I just had a run in with high salinity and it bleached out a piece of my monti's and all of the polyps started to retract. I lowered the salinity over a few days. Everything is rebounding but was very angry for a bit.
That's what I thought to. Checked it again this morning and the same. Checked my refrac w distilled water and was 0. Not sure why calcium was so high. Is 8 ok for all?
