Hello everybody,
I wanted to make a thread addressing the new year, and the health of our members =)
I know alot of people make a new years resolution to be more healthy whether it be to quit smoking, lose weight, stop drinking soda, walk you and your dog, ect ect ect.
We spend so much time making sure our reefs are as healthy as can be, that our fish eat nutrient rich foods, that our corals have nutrients, while we smoke cigarettes, eat doughnuts, and dont pay enough mind to ourselves.

Most members get on Masc probably everyday or at least every week.
Since its the new year, and so many of us probably have that "get healthy" resolution, Why not share support, success stories, and goals, what have you, to make a better you and fellow member =)

Maybe its cheesy, but hey, Why not have a forum where you can benefit your hobby, and yourself.

So to get the ball rolling, And I might end up being the only ball that rolls anywhere on this...but....
I never ever ate vegetables. I always drank soda, and ate fast food.
Since the 7th I have had one soda that i shared. I have been making vegetable smoothies and drinking them everyday. I have lost four 4lbs as of last friday.
And i Really want to make it a goal to be just a little more active. I weighed 130 lbs when i started. Now, I know alot of ppl say that its small already, and yes thats true, but im also very short, and thats the biggest Iv ever been, so I personally would like to lose just a little weight but ultimately increase my health =)

Im doing a dynamic tension workout, about 30 minutes a day since January 1st. 15 days in and Ive lost 6lbs, my waist line has shrunk substantially and Im starting to see all the muscle tone I once had in my younger days, much to my surprise there is a 6 pack somewhere under there!! LMAO

Ive also quit drinking Red Bull and Pepsi, and only allowing my self fast food once a week for lunch at work and no coffee after noon.

Of course having a new girlfriend helps motivate this as well! Hahahaha

Running a marathon in April. Started training after Christmas. I have never been a runner. I don't like to run, but I like feeling out of shape & old considerably less.

What actually got me to quit completely, was i smoked my e cig for about 6 months or so.. and then I got really ****ed off at my dads fish tank and grabbed one of his no filter cigs and smoked it... then puked my brains out, and never picked up a cig or my e smoke again..lol

Good thread. I signed up for the Triple Bypass. I've never done this tough of a ride, so it is good motivation for me to start a training plan and stick to it.
Anyone else crazy enough to sign up for the Triple?

Nope! I started training for the copper triangle one year...did the elephant rock 100 and that was enough for me to pat myself on the back and sell my carbon fiber road bike later that year :p
