There are lots of conflicting opinions, but the vast consensus is that they have yellow tips, bright orange tenticles and a greenish blue base.

Ok did that, didn't really help lol. I looked at the pics of your rainbows and sunbursts and to me they look the same. I was just wondering if someone could explain the difference before I decide to pay 150 to 200 dollars more for one.

Its like coke vs cola. They both look and taste almost the same, but coke costs twice as much. You are basically paying for the "brand"

There is absolutely zero difference in terms of genus and species. Just the colors that are emitted. Most of that comes from tank conditions.

Wow, thanks for all the responses. So what I think I am understanding is they are essentially the same thing, but based on tank conditions a rainbow could potentially look better than a sunburst if tank conditions were more favorable? I mean in the pics they look the same to me, maybe in person they look different and the camera just can't pic it up?
