I have a 72 gallon bowfront which has been running for almost 3 years. I had to move it to the basement while we get hardwood floors installed. Now that it is out of our living room I realize how loud the sump equipment was. I would like to look into setting up a basement sump to cut down on the noise in our living room. Are there contractors who will come to your house to set up the plumping for something like this? If so I would appreciate recommendations from anyone. Thanks.

LOL, basement super sump.

Lots of help around here, and you would also gain some knowledge for future upgrades or repairs.

That's an understatement.

Let us help don't spend a ridiculous amount on a contractor. Lots of people here will help. You will need a bigger return pump for the head pressure and distance it needs to go. We should run an 1.5" drain to accommodate for future upgrades a 1" return is plenty. Check valve at the return pump and a valve at the top side to control flow in the tank. Craiger, magic mike do this frequently. Depending on location I can help as well I plumb for a living (big ro systems for medical use).

Try to place the check valves up near the tank. My sump is located in the basement and I have the check valve by the pump. There is so much volume of water and pressure that it won't hold. So I need to cut it out and move it upstairs. If you have a hole cutting bits, drill and a fair knowledge of gluing pvc, you will do fine. I cut out a hole in my wall and ran the plumbing through the garage, then down to the basement. You also have a bunch of peeps here to help you out along the way.

Sorry Chris didn't mean to put it that way. He has the most beautiful setups in town that's a fact.
