Does anyone know how to make it quieter?

This is how I have my over flow set up except the 90 is turned parallel with the water so like the picture but turned 90 degrees

I've seen people drill a hole in the top of the 90 do you think that will help?

turn the elbow down and pop a little hole in the top.

Did you use a reducer at the bottom? Most of the time is you dont use a reducer it becomes really loud.

It's really quiet as long as the little drilled hole on top doesn't get blocked!

drilling multiple small holes on top of the cap will help quieten it down if it is flushing like a toilet. If it is the water entering the sump that you want quieter i would add a longer piece of pvc and a filter sock to reduce the splashing sound.

You will know once the hole has been blocked due to the gurgle sound.
