Anyone on here experienced in drilling glass? I need 2 holes, return(1 3/8) and overflow (1 3/4) holes. Let me know if you can help.

it is so easy don't pay. just make a moat around the said hole with plumbers putty, fill will water and start slow. once the initial ring is started keep water on it and go. make sure you put a towel on the inside of the glass that way when the glass falls through it dosent brake anything.

I will be drilling the bottom because it is not tempered. So when i go to drill it can i just set it upside down on the lawn and set the hose on it? Will it be ok that way or should i drill from the inside of the tank out? The drain pipe will be 1 1/4" durso with a reducer to 1" pipe going into a 1" bulkhead.

There is a shop in loveland that does it, don't remember what they're called but it was $20/hole when I last asked them, roughly a year ago.

Yea if its handy glass than they upped there price to $30/hole, hell i only paid $40 for a brand new 40breeder, i dont want to pay more to get the holes drilled than i payed for the tank :)

You would be fine in the yard upside down with a hose.
