Anyone here knows how to fix a dryer, or know of anyone? I have one that just crapped out on me this past week. It turns on but doesn't spin.

It might be something as easy as replacing the belt. If you hear the motor turning and the dryer doesn't spin...the belt may have slipped off. Usually that means you should just replace it anyway or you'll be repeating the process again shortly. I'd try to explain it, but it's probably easier to just check out youtube to get an idea...you can DIY the fix in a couple hours with basic tools if you're up to it.

I took off the top outer housing and exposed the belt and it looks good still. So I think it must be the motor. I didn't want to get too much into removing the drum and fidgeting with all electronics and motor.

Hmm yea in that case it's beyond my knowledge level too lol. I've only ever replaced belts and the tensioner pulley...never messed with replacing a motor.

Dryer repairman

I repaired my with help from YouTube of course
If you can hear the motor running it might be the tensioner arm wore out like mine

I fixed mine when the heating element went out and was easy. Dryers are probably the easiest appliances to work on.

Got it fix, turns out it was a sock that was stuck in the blower. I've got a niece that likes to clean the lint from the dryer and forgot to put it back.
