Dual vs single overflow

I'm getting ready to redo my fuge, etc, and came across a brand new dual overflow box (HOB) in my pile of equipment. So I'm thinking about switching my current single overflow box to the dual overflow box. What are the benefits of using a dual overflow vs a single overflow? It's a 125 gal tank, if that matters.

Failsafe...

If one tube gets clogged up with debris or god forbid a fish then you won't flood your living room since you'll have the second one
