First I find out 2 days ago that I might have zoa eating nudi's in the tank. I have only seen one so far, and am still crossing my fingers, but still have one of those feelings in my gut.
Then today, I come home and my tank is very cloudy. Then I see half of a cleaner shrimp, and I also notice some of my corals don't look very good. I am looking and looking and can't figure out what is going on. I then check the temp, and it's at 91. I unplug the heater, and grab a fan, to start cooling down the tank, but as I continue to look at the tank I see some of my LPS and SPS corals melting away. (WTF!!!) This is a brand new heater, and it got stuck in the on position.
I did a 20% water change, and changed the carbon, and the water has cleared up a little bit, but I really lost some nice corals. Why cant the cheap ones ever die?
The weirdest part was one of my chalices that was light blue with bright orange mouths is now brown on 85% of it. The other 15% is history, almost like it was burned by another coral.
On the bright side, my daughter had surgery this morning, and everything went very well!
