Explosion and a flood, gods wrath or winter in colorado

#1
Shame on me for being from california and not even considering that things in my garage will freeze....

Got a text from the wife this afternoon that the garage was flooded and she wasnt sure what happened.

Lol that really thick plastic that serves as the housing on my rodi exploded from the pressure of being filled with frozen water... I wouldnt have guessed the plastic could launch so far but I found two pieces near the garage door.

So Im not sure if any of my rodi will be salvagable so if anyone is selling some of the pieces Im looking for the clear plastic cylinders, and most likely all of the filters. Ill be hooking it up and checking tds after I get the cylinders replaced to see if I wrecked the rest of it.

Its been a good winter so far. Within the last month and a half I lost 2 of my favorite fish to a heater shocking them for an evening. Lost one other to ich, my blasto was flipped over and died off, broke the retainer rings on my mag drive, and as a finale the very nice rodi snowcone explosion in the garage.

But hey my new evo led look amazing so its still a good day!

Man, that sucks. Wish I could help out. At least no one was IN the garage when the rodi launched, lol

Is there a flat amount for price reduction on the group buy? Trying to check my options for what I can afford.

Oh lol each item is discounted, no set amount. So if you go to bulkreefsupply.com and find something you want to purchase, look by the pricing and it will say "buy 3 or buy 5 and your price is $5.37". Thats the price you pay, the cheapest BRS price ever! Plus after your purchase they upgrade you to preferred member. HTH

Boo dirtefish - that sucks. Mine blew a few years ago when the garage door was left open overnight.

I've been running an incandescent bulb under my RO/DI setup the past few nights. It's not a perfect solution but it's easy enough and works fine.

I'm sorry, that sucks pretty hard. Freezing pipes are a serious problem here lol. Hope that you can find new parts for your unit.

What day is the swap? I'm usually working but I'm off sat.

I wanna do the group buy but not sure I wanna wait that long I have 6 gallons of fresh left and about 20 mixed.
Not sure if I wanna do tap and declor it for two weeks that scares me
