Extra money from IRS. I'm thinking LED's.

So I am not totally sure what I want and do not want to spend the time on this one to build it. So I am thinking the SOL led, Ecotech Radion, or the Mazarra P. What are your guys thoughts on these three? Does the Mazarra P do lightning effects I know it does storm or overcasting, but haven't seen it do a lightning flash? How many modules of each do you guys think I will need for a 4'x2'x2' mixed reef? I also have 2xMP40w's so was leaning to the Radion, but for some reason the Mazarra P looks better to me. The SOL looks to be the cheapest. I can get three of the Mazarra P or three of the SOL for the same price as two Radion's, but who needs all of the green and red leds in the Radion. Oh god rambling, so excited to get leds. Let me know what you guys think.

I have six AI SOL Blues over a seven foot tank. It's now a softie tank because I fried all my SPS when I first installed them. I was only running them at about 30% when my SPS died. All that said, I love these lights. When I decide to restock, I'll start the SPS at the bottom of the tank and slowly move them up over a few months.

The 2 spikes I had in the last year both happened after I had a alk spike. I believe alk spikes can also crash denitrifying bacteria beds, or the spikes somehow stopped my macro algaes from nutrient uptake. Not sure the latter is true though since my macros continued to grow during the spikes, albeit slower.

I would do two radions if i were you. They have (updatable) software that allows you to make up your own lighting effects and schedules. This software is extremely detailed and in depth and you can tweek just about everything. Not only that but you can save these programs and schedules and trade them with other Radion users. The Radions sync with your vortechs. They are black and sleek. Plus you can hang them. Oh and battery back up. I cant say enough good things about these lights. Oh and the Radion won best LED light of 2011 on Reef Builders over both of the other lights you mentioned. Here is the link http://reefbuilders.com/2012/01/10/2011-led-showdow/
Come to the meeting tomorrow in Aurora and watch Radions shine!

So what are the benefits of having the red and green leds? Doesn't both the Mazarra and SOL have the ability to hook up to the neptune system and could you still have the ability to have interaction with the vortech wavemakers through the neptune system? Wish I could come to the meet, but kids and living in Grand Junction limits what I get to do for fun.
