I know most of you are gonna hate me for saying this, but I officially feel old. Today is my Birthday!! ...my 22nd. and it seems as though all i have to look forward to is a prostate exam in my 40s and my insurance dropping at 25.

Ive been working and with school, my oasis is my tanks and now I'm feeling like an Old man, go to work, take care of bidness, come home, relax and repeat!!

So on that depressing note...

I need some day trip ideas and stuff to do in a day possibly with my pups or something... i need to get out and remind myself im only 22!!! so, who's got good day hike spots, trips, mtn views... anything?

For day trips, I like to head out past Boulder to Estes Park, have lunch at the hotel on the lake, then go into Rocky Mtn National Park, and drive back the scenic route along the big thompson river. I've also had fun driving out to the resort towns (Keystone, Vail) in the summertime, and walking around, having lunch outside, etc. If you wanna head south, Manitou Springs is great. Also fun is the Wild Animal Sanctuary (not a good idea for pups). www.wildanimalsanctuary.org

If you're so inclined, the Stanley Hotel is a fun stop in Estes Park. Redrum... and all that... Not to mention a nearlyworldfamous whiskey bar.

My wife and I are staying in a "haunted" room in June! Probably not haunted like your car Cindy.

22 isn't old, I remember being 22 and thinking it was though. Enjoy your 20's man. Before you know it you'll have some fat fingered dr. Sticking his finger up your s$$ and telling you to cough ! That'll make you feel old. Lol

Yeah, hasn't happened since I told that ghost to get the ~~~~ out.
I vaguely remember that I was 22 once. As I recall, I was so busy working 2 jobs and running my own business that I didn't have time to feel old. Sleeping consisted of a weekly 2 hour nap, I think.

Happy birthday!! The Stanley creeps me out. The downstairs main bathroom mostly but the piano room too where people are said to have heard ghostly playing

I just turned 40 last month..Anyway, it may be a little bit of a drive for you, but here in the Springs we have a ton of places that are excellent for a day hike. Garden of the Gods, the "Incline", Helen Hunt Falls, etc. Happy B-day.

tyty for the birthday wishes, and happy birthday to those of you who can actually call yourself old... whether its time to admit it or not. Ive got at least the next few weeks planned out on off days and @aresgraphix, ive been to GotG... 1 day wasnt enough to go hiking all throughout it, so maybe ill save the springs for a good long weekend!

22?!?! My GAWD man, I have furniture that I bought new that is older than you!! LOL!! I know what you mean though, I turn 45 in a week and after 13 knee surgeries, the last 2 being knee full replacements, gaining 85 pounds because I can't exercise as much as I used to sure does make one feel old and decrepit!

@ plumcrazy

Check out elk meadow dog park in Evergreen. Its an open space dog park, easy to spend half day there. Parking is a beast though...
