Well the time has come to get rid of the wife's Domino Damsel, he has been a good fish but I'm afraid that his reign of terror is over!! He is about 2 inches long but not a fin nipper, just chases ALL my more passive fish around. If you have a tank with larger more aggressive fish he would be a great addition, but for me I want him gone. If no one wants him he will go to D&G pets in FoCo for adoption :)

PS, anyone have a fish trap I can borrow?.. my past attempts to catch him have been less than successful!!

He is welcome in my big tank whenever you catch him

I've been planning to buy a damsel or two just to help occupy my 29g. It currently only has my mean Yellow Psuedochromis. He is a bit reclusive without more outgoing fish in the tank. Just sitting under the rock he dug out as though spying on me from the trenches. I can often only see him if I am at just the right angle. He's 3" long!!

However FoCo is a LONG drive just to buy a damsel! LOL

Thought I'd let you see the frag BTW! It's starting to form a new edge, and the dead patch is actually a lump now. This "lump" looks to be about to form a second layer "plate".

Here's that red one you brought me too. It didn't need to recover so it's a bit nicer so far.

Good luck on the Damsel. Hope it gets that HUGE home.;)

Yeah, it's really boiling down to if I can catch him... he may be too big to trap with a 2 liter bottle trap... think the mouth of the bottle may be too small, I would get one of those aqua-medic traps but it's a bit spendy to catch one fish! Perhaps I need to buy a jug of apple juice or something with a larger opening and make a trap out of that... Hmmmm, any ideas?

Yea the traps are spendy and don't work much better then the bottles do. I have one, and the fish often won't even consider going in there. If they do it's rarely the fish you wanted to catch.

I've had good luck with catching damsels by leaving the net in the tank near a common feeding area, when feeding time comes and the bolder fish (like damsels) come right up to get the food by the net I try to nab them up. I've also had great luck using an old huge Conch shell. The fish hide inside it, I remove the shell.

Good luck!

Yeah, I finally tried a fly lure, but the damsel wasn't interested. Almost hooked a 5in maroon and gold clown though, Doh!!
