Anyone fimiliar with these? I picked up a pair of them on Monday fully acclimated to saltwater. They are currently in QT and eating like pigs. I read they were good at helping control aptasia but I dont know to much more about them. Ive read they are also venomous??

Anyone kept these? What can you tell me about them.

I generally will not buy a fish that I dont know about, but Ive never seen these little guys on the market and they have a really cool look, so I had to grab em.

I know they are great algae eaters. I don't think they are venomous. Originally a brackish fish. They will eat pretty much anything :p

They will eat just about any kind of coral, algae and anything that looks interesting to them. I have never had them, but have heard that they don't live too long in pure saltwater, even though they do head out to sea in nature for a while to breed.

They can pick at other fish. They also get HUGE at nearly a foot and 2-3" wide.

Even if they are reef safe, they are not all that reef friendly and will be poop machines before too long if you feed them appropriately... and if you don't you risk losing your coral as food.
