Group buy, anyone interested?

#1
I've been playing with the idea of doing a group buy from Blue zoo because I need some more shrimp and snails and they have the cheapest price but shipping is stupid, would anyone be interested? Our goal to reach is $140.00 to get free shipping.

My Prospective order

Fire Shrimp QTY 1 - $24.95
Sexy Shrimp QTY 4 - $8.49 X 2
$16.98
Nassarus Snail QTY 12 - $0.63 x12
$7.56

Total: $49.49

Good timing...I'll make a list and post up.

edit.

You can put me down for:

(10) Trochus snails @ 2.85
(1) Tonga Fighting Conch @ 14.95

Total: $43.45

Where will pickup be, and I am seeing different prices then you posted above. Mine are 20% higher.

I'm also wondering if one of our local sponsors would be interested in putting together a similar clean-up crew special?

Wow that's crazy, the price of the fire shrimp was that this morning! I'll edit mine to the current price. And I'd be down if a vendor could meet or beat those prices. I'm thinking we could arrange a place to meet that's in between all of the people who buy? Again I've never done a group buy before so details will need to be hashed out if we reach our goal.

Aquatic Art and Aqua Mart have both said they will meet online vendors pricing for CuC. Maybe send them a PM and see if they'd do the same right now.

please do, cause we need some inverts and I haven't been able to find cheaper anywhere local yet. And when I do find snails, they are all out of the ones I need.

I just sent him a note. Could everyone post here what they would be interested in, to make it easier for him to see, and then he could post prices of those critters?

Did you set this up with Aquamart? or Aquatic Art? I'm down here in the springs and don't get up that far too often but I noticed the Feb meeting is at Aquamart and thought i could kill two birds with one drive. :)

I just saw this post, thanks for the heads up Chad! We can match prices on CUC crew for sure as long as it is apples to apples, mainly with sizes. I thought I would list some of our everyday prices on the most popular CUC members. Remember that we give 10% off for MASC members on livestock so reduce the listed prices by 10%. Some of the items we do have lot prices as well.

Trochus snails:
Red/white banded $2.50 (6 for $13)
Black/white banded $2.00 (6 for $11)

Fire shrimp $30med, $28 small (when I can get them)
Cleaner shrimp: $25med/$22sm
Red tipped hermits: .50 each
Nassarius LG, $2
Astrea sanils $1.50 (12for$16)
Peppermint shrimp (Carribean) $5
Emerald crabs: $6
Sally lightfoot crabs: $7

We pretty much have these in stock at all times, 99% of the time they are priced this way everyday unless I buy them differently. If you would like something that is not on the list I can order it for you, we get orders in every week.

Thanks for posting up Cris...guess I should head your way more often. With snowboard season starting up my Saturdays have been occupied. ;)

I'm working at Abasin this Saturday...but will try to stop in the following weekend to pick up some snails and see about ordering a conch
