Some of you may have seen that I am working on a 300 Gallon build and could use some help moving it this Saturday. I am not sure what time yet, but will keep you all updated. Here is the plan:

Phase 1
I need a few guys to help me load the tank at Neptunes Tropical fish. This will consist of wheeling it to the truck and lifting it into the bed. That is it for phase 1.

Phase 2
I need a couple of guys to meet us at my place and help us move the tank from the bed of the truck onto a cart, that I am building, then help stabilize it while we roll the tank into the house. It is ground floor with NO stairs.

It should only take about 10 minutes in either phase.

Let me know if you can help. I would appreciate any help we can get.

I can probably help depending on the time. I'm in Castle Rock, but Neptunes has been my Saturday tradition for the past month or so anyway :V

Be sure to check out Aquatic Art too if you haven't already.

I don't think I will be able to help this weekend, but I'll let you know if my plans change. That 300 will be sweet!

* Also I would invest in some suction cups from harbor freight to make things easier on the move - http://www.harborfreight.com/dual-cup-suction-lifter-46134.html
Thank you, I will let you know what time. I will attempt to get a time set tonight and let you know.

Also, I looked at those suction cups, but they make me a little nervous. They are rated up to 125 lbs each, so we would be really testing their limits.

I agree about aquatic art, they have some incredible livestock and they are in the process of setting up an additional, HUGE, coral flat.

There are several members in the club who own and have used these, I just cant think who has any right now. I personally helped pick Mike and Cindy's 300dd up from their garage up a few stairs down a half flight of stairs and up on to the 30"+ stand using these. So promise they will work and do work. Hopefully someone who has some will chime in and maybe save you from having to buy some.

Cool, I will be heading to Harbor Freight either tonight or tomorrow, so I will check them out.

Just from my experience i used myself and three men much larger than me to move my 300. Tank alone is 520 lbs. We used an appliance dolly with the tank sitting on its back and cardboard and moving blankets in between the tank and dolly.

I have three of the suction cups that I moved my 180 with. Not everyone had one to hold (six of us moved it) but it did help. You're more than welcome to borrow them. When you get it to stick, they are strong.

Those that can help at Neptunes, I am planning on picking up the tank at 11:00am on Saturday. Like I said, it should only take a few minutes. If you are able to help unload it as well, please let me know. I know that Shawn (szavoda) can help, anyone else?

Again, I really appreciate all of the willingness from members of this forum to help out a fellow reefer! You guys all ROCK!!!

Bring some windex and paper towels to clean off where the suction cups go - dirt / grease is the primary reason for failure.
