Ich or sand?

#1
Hi all,

I think I have the dreaded ich. Assuming the pictures don't get downsized too much here, what do you guys think...

As for other symptoms, no other fish show these spots, the tang is incredibly active, eats well, and does not flash...

Us, and I'm a newb and will never put another fish in my dt without qt.

Yeah. Me too. And everything I'm reading is take all the fish out and qt them....

2 small clarkii clowns
1 small cardinal
4 chromis
1 coral beauty
1 diamond goby

Plus my tang

That seems like a lot for a 20l for two months. I also have a 10 laying around I could use...

Just the 20l or both?

You use both. Id put the clowns, the goby and the chromis in the 10, the coral beauty, the tang and the cardinal in the 20.

Or grab the 40 breeder that Craig has for sale and use 1 tank. That's what I would do.

If I had a stand that would hold the 40, I'd jump on it. The 20l has all we need and the 10 can sit anywhere...

Anyone have a stand they want to give away that would hold a 40B? :)

Ive got this vanity base you could use for a 40b. It's 36"wide by 21" deep by 35" tall. A 40breeder is 36"widex16" deep, so this would def work for a temp qt stand. Or paint it up, put a nice top on it and make it permanent. To use as a temp qt stand, you just would need to slap a piece of MDF or some other top on it and it would be good to go. I was going to turn it into a stand myself but decided on a dif one. I would let it go for $25 if you are interested. Pm if so and well get it done :)

Perhaps... I'm seeing Cindy has any tanks with a 36x12 base for which I already have a stand doing nothing in the basement. If that doesn't work out... I may be in.

I'd like to get this qt going soon so time is of the essence.
