Hey everyone!!

I need some help moving my tank from Parker to Fort Collins. If i could have some people help me carry buckets at both locations I will be happy to provide pizza and beer for your troubles!! I can do most of the take down and set up by myself, but I cannot lift all the buckets :) especially the big trashcans.

I am also planning on hanging my lights. Its a 6 bulb t5 fixture with some LEDs attached. It already has some line to be hung, im just not sure how to hang them. Do i need to make sure the lights are in the studs or will it be ok just in the dry wall stuff?

Also, where are the good LFS in Fort Collins, especially where can I go to get good RO/DI water and saltwater?

Thanks everyone!

Hannah!! Good to hear from you! Are you coming to CSU? I can probably help on the FOCO side once you get down here, but not sure if I could help in Parker.

I am in FTC and although I probably cannot help on Tuesday August 7 (I work in Boulder), I have a large RO/DI system that I used when I had my 125g set up. Now that I am getting a 29g biocube, I have water available! I also just ordered new filters. Let me know how much and when you need some. You will need to provide the containers.

Where will you be located in FTC?

Well, im not totally sure what the address is, but its right by the veterinary teaching hospital.

Bumblebee - Thanks so much! I will let you know a more exact time when we get closer

JPC - im sure I will need water in that first week, but all my buckets will be full with moving, so maybe I can drop by later in the week. Thanks a million!!!

I can help on the FOCO side. What you will want for your lights are hooks with drywall anchors (toggle bolts, not pig tails) and some heavy gauge laminated wire rope.

Good luck with the move, I've gotta work that day or I'd offer to help. Are you going to Vet school up there or just living by the hospital? I used to live in an apartment on Drake just a block or two away.

I am not sure if I will be available to help, but I have a 75 gallon vat with a little giant plumbed in, if you want to borrow it. I pumped water to the vat with a mag9(borrowed) about 35' level with the truck. The little giant pumped 50' up 16 stairs and the height of the tank. 45 minutes to move 75 gallons of water, but without breaking backs.

Better overkill than underkill (does that exist lol)

i think underkill is the equivalent to slow, painful death. My worry with such a large tank is that is almost my total water volume and i dont know about carrying the rocks and stuff out into the vat. A big pumping system would be nice though
