Is Scotch Maximum Strength Adhesive safe for frags/tank?

#1
As the title states. I picked up some Scotch Maximum Strength Adhesive gel (like Super Glue) at the store to glue some frags to my rocks. I have used Loc tight gel in the past but I'm not too sure this is safe.

Contains:
Acetone, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Dibutyl Ohthalate.

Thanks for the help

I think if it is the gel then you are okay. But I could be wrong...

Typically reef safe stuff is cyanoacrylate type glue the other stuff I not so sure of....I am not sure I would risk it unless you have a QT tank.

I wouldn't. Lots of toxicity from a quick skim of google results of the individual chemicals.

NEVER, EVER, EVER use ANYTHING that has methyl ethyl keytone in it!!!!!!
or acetone either.
The only glue that should go into a reef tank is cyanoacrylate, or Billy Mays super putty.

Thanks everyone - I'm glad I checked with you guys.

Back off to the store - Does anyone have any recommendations other than the Loc tight Gel?

Enjoy your weekend!

Why don't you like Loc tight? I have had great success with it. I just wish it came in larger tubes.
I don't have anything against Loc Tight other than the tube size. I picked up the Scotch because it was the only Gel they had in stock (small target store).

Gonzo - I have also heard good things about Vortech's new glue. It's a nice size bottle too.
