LFS in Denver area

#1
Hey all,
It has been quite awhile since I have been here! I am going to be in Denver for a few days soon and I was wondering who is still open. I moved away 11-2008. Is Key's still around? I also liked Reef n Pond. There were others as well, I know. There used to be a LFS thread done by one of us old farts, is it still up to date? I couldn't even find it. Well, any input is appreciated give me your opinions of the shop as well. I hope to see ya'll when I come there. If folks are really nice, I MAY be able to swing a tour of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner when it is sitting in CO Spgs. That is the reason I will be there, I am a QA inspector on the program.
Thanks, Bill

Key's is still around.....so is Reef n Pond.
You need to make a trip up to Arvada and try out EliteReef.
Aquamart is still there I think but it's for sale so it's probably pretty crappy.

Down south (Denver near aurora), you can always check out Todds Tropical Fish, Ocean's Apart (Sat or by appointment), and Fish Palace (smaller, but always worth making the rounds, and sometimes has interesting livestock).

There is also Great Barrier Reef by Park Meadows. They have new owners, and they have already made some impressive changes.

Thanks all! Reef and Pond used to be a pretty decent place. Nothing fancy, but decent prices on fish and corals. Todd's has been the epitome of what a LFS should NOT be for years. The owner is a jerk, his kids are jerks and they don't stand behind their products. Buyer beware! I always liked Oceans Apart, but their hours were too hard to deal with and prices kind of high. I love the Zoa tank in the front counter though. I will check out Elite, and may even take a trip up to Greeley if the shops up there are still around. I really liked Fish Etc., but that has been gone since '05! I will for sure hit Key's as he has helped me uncounted times with info and enjoy talking to him and Mike. Once I get dates figured out, maybe a meet up at Old Chicago for pizza and beers will be in order!

If you go to greely try to hit up Gonzo, he is only a little farther, and he has a ton of corals.
