Looking for a pair of Bangai's

Hey all...

Having no luck trying to sex and pair up bangai's myself.
Anyone that has a pair of bangai cardinals out there?

Anyone have a candy-striped pistol shrimp?
Or an orange-spotte4 shrimp goby?

If I can get them all paired up, I am going to make a little plastic stick-figure family sign to stick up outside the burrow.

We have banggai's at the store but none are showing any pairing yet. Maybe too young yet.

My advice go to petco. They now sell ORA tank bred cardinals (Banggai and PJ) at a very good price. Buy three or four of the largest in the tank and let them sort themselves out. Remove any fish that start to get fins shredded and in about 4-6 months of heavy feeding you will have a breeding pair. This is how I got my pair. The male has had two clutches but keeps spitting the eggs out at day 15 or so.

My petco is covered in bubble algae and has more dead or dying fish than alive. Nice tip on the ORA part, better chance of survival.

In the same boat squid, this article has helped narrow things down a lot. Last time I was in petco the had 15-20 but using this method I kinda figures they were all male. Every last one... Poor girl working, made her feed those fish three times and didn't buy any. But the cardinals seemed happy with nice plump bellies .
