What is the best submersible pump you can get for a 120gallon? It would need to be able to last, it seems the pump runs low on water often so it burns up fast. If anyone is selling one the correct size let me know, this one needs replaced ASAP.
I would like to fit the tank with an ATO, but the house it is in isn't able to get the plumbing to it. Can you get an ATO hooked up to a bucket or something like that?
Sure, I will try to take some tomorrow. The float valve is an eshopps on a acrylic bracket. Several stores around town sell them. And then I am just running 1/4" black tubing to my resivor. The key is to have the water level in the resivor higher than the float valve. That way it gravity feeds to the valve.
+1 that's what I have
Get the one with the backup.... you will be glad you did one day, or you will be making a home owners clam wishing you spent the extra $10
FYI, I have my RODI in the washing machine room and ran a 1/4" line threw my craw-space to a 5gal bucket with a float switch. The 5gal bucket holds the topoff water till my 300 something gal tank needs a refill. I use a "Tom aquatics pump" ($15) to top her off throw a DIY kalk thing. you can run it strait to the tank too.
People always say "...Was the best thing I bought for my tank." for the the ... was the RODI but the second best is the ATO from autotopoff.com

Float valve in sump.
Both plugged into a switching box and then into wall socket. When the water evaporates the float valve triggers the switch that turns the little pump on and water is pumped into the sump till the water level rises sufficiently for the valve to turn the switch off.
