Just be careful when you have two types of. Nems they could do a chemical warfare and fight. I had rainbows down stairs and sunbursts upstairs all the same water volume but different tanks. My sunbursts that I've had for 5 years all of a sudden started looking crappy I tried everything. I finally decided to get rid of the rainbows and within 3 days of the last rainbow leaving the sunbursts are back!!!

serious? interesting to know.... i was planning on doing a couple sunbursts, a couple roses, a couple yellows, and a couple blues all in the same tank... do you honestly think it was the nems having chemical warfare or do you think there may have been something else involved?

I have no doubt in my mind it was the nems. I fought trying to revive the sunburst for 3-4 months and it just kept getting worse and worse. My rainbows looked better than ever. I'm not exadurating when I say within days of getting rid of my last rainbow the sunbursts looked back to normal. Before I took them out both my sunbursts had retracted all tenicals completely and turned white 3 days later had bubble tips out and turned backe to orange

Wow...thanks for sharing, that's definitely good to know. I might have to rethink some stocking options in light of this. Do you have any other nems in the system now that are thriving with the sunburts? Or are you down to just those?
