Decided to splurge a little. Went ahead and got the Vertex illumina. Dropped $2400 in the process. But I think that money will be quickly recouped. Went from 750w to 260w, and no longer have to drop $400 for bulbs every year. Not to mention how much my electric bill should go down. Bought them from J & L aquatics in the land of maple syrup.

Now just the long wait till they come in...though it should only take a week since they were in stock...but still gonna feel like years. Can't wait for them to get in the UV pads to make my first upgrade.

Sure...Probably gonna be about two weeks before I install them. Gonna refinish the canopy and hang them inside of that...Cause I have heard they can be really distracting in a living room unless covered by something to keep the bright light contained.

ya i think i might have mentioned that before ....lol ...shame to cover a piece of equipment like that up though

I'd be more than happy to host a meeting. If someone whos in charge want to tell me what month im sure we can work something out. Can fit some vendors up in the garage if its not to hot or cold. Got a huge 10' stainless steel workbench to set up frag tanks on.

Nope...goats went to a farm after I put sod in the back yard. I do miss them though! ROFL. But got some good news today. Tracking number was issued and apparently the lights are already at customs. Had them call me with some questions today to get them through. Suprised how fast this is going.

Damn it...hate it when this happens. Lights are sitting up at the UPS depot in commerce city, and they are closed for the weekend and the holiday. Sigh...oh well guess I need to finish the new canopy that I am building. Should be done by tomorrow night. Then I can sit there and imagine the lights are already in it.

I hate to be the barer of bad news, but it appears that the UPS website is down. I hope for you it is up Tuesday morning.

Well UPS never seems to deliver to my place till at night. IDK why....but as long as it comes tuesday i will be happy!
