Yes it is... I found it in my refugium under a bunch of cheato. My 16 m/o daughter can't keep her hands off them and apparently wanted to put it in my tank a while back. Oh and BTW the oils had just been filled...
lovely, so it wasnt like she threw an empty one in there.. haha. Well best of luck to the system, corals and fish... hopefully nothing else is affected and with a few good water changes nothing will even know the difference.
May have found the source of my recent algea outbreak...

WOW!!! Good luck with the system Jack. Let me know if you need anything.. I have cabinet locks, but dont think they will work very well with your skirt..

My son had a similar issue with "plug-ins" too! His was that his Black Volitan Lionfish fins started to "droop". When he ask me what maybe happening, that was the only thing he'd done different is plug in a Glade Plug-in very near his tank. I didn't think that would cause an issue, but I suggested since it was the only thing different that he move it. He did across the room and the problem went away!

Wow that's pretty interesting. I typically don't use any sort of aerosols in rooms that house my tanks...and due to the size of my place these past few years I've pretty much avoided them altogether when cleaning the house. I thought I was just being over-concerned/paranoid...guess I'm not as crazy as I thought.

Water still looks a little cloudy, probably mostly from the water and chemical changes.
I'm thinking that because it was oil that it stayed on the surface and got skimmed out. I'm also thinking with such low flow through my refugium, it may not have gotten to much in my DT anyways. Fingers are crossed

I really can't remember where I heard this story, but I have heard of an office tank being completely wiped out one evening when the cleaning staff cleaned his desk (probably 409 vapors or something). I've always been really careful about cleaners near the tank since I heard that.

thats crazy, my I live in an apartment (1100sq ft) and my roommate uses aerosols, incense, heavy scented sprays. never near the tank, but in the kitchen and living room less than 10ft from the tank... i havent SEEN any affects on the corals or fish but now that im aware... makes me want to just hazmat bubble the tank and put it on its own O2 supply!! lol

I know windex is a big no-no due to the ammonia. I had a tank crash in college when the apartment staff came in to clean the balcony windows in my apartment. They said they were coming in to clean the outside glass...but I guess they sprayed down the inside glass as well. My tank was about 5ft from the balcony and both fish were dead by the evening. :/
After that incident I switched to vinegar in a spray bottle for cleaning my house.
Jack, I think you're spot on about it being removed by the skimmer. It probably all sat on the surface and was skimmed out pretty quickly. Just wondering...is your skimmer setup before or after the fuge chamber where that glade plug-in was found?
