Media for phosphate

What is everyone using to control phosphate? I have a GFO reactor and using rowaphos. How often do you replace it?

BRS high capacity GFO. 30ml changed every 2 weeks.

Probably could add more and change out less often with most systems but I need to have some PO4 in my system every other week to keep my macro algaes alive.

Week 1 after change - 0 PO4 - HI 736 checker
Week 2 after change - .01-.02

1.5 cups of BRS high capacity GFO, I change it when my phosphates start creeping up, usually about a month

Haven't tried BRS' GFO. Will need to when my supply runs out. Anyone doing an order?

Regular Brs gfo, cause I'm cheap. Change out once a month.

use Lanthanum chloride, or if you're really cheap, a pH above 8.6 will precipitate out phosphate.
