I am moving back to Hawaii, unfortunately I cannot take my very healthy 36 inch Tesselata eel, also known as the "Lace Moray" or Gymnothorax favagineus. Though largely a nocturnal feeder, this eel is often visible during the day and is a hearty eater who prefers meaty foods including squid, silversides, shrimp and clams. It is very active, quite social (eats right from my hand) and can be kept with other aggressive fish. As with all eels, an aquarium with a tight-fitting cover must be provided to prevent escape. This is a great eel that needs a good home. I am asking $200 or best offer.

I am more concerned that he goes to a good home (he's currently in a 200 gallon tank and appears quite happy). I am also selling my live rock and live sand as well (about 200 lbs of live rock and 200 lbs of live sand). I am flexible on prices and No Reasonable Offer will be turned down. Please contact me at (808) 366-2544 if you are interested and can also provide pictures upon request. You need to see pictures to appreciate this fine specimen.

Thanks for the interest.

Yes, this eel is already 3 feet and will continue to grow over time so it needs a large tank. Thanks for the interest :)
