A couple of things to make sure you have correct when modifying:

1. make sure you have a check valve of some sort on your purified water line - http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/mur-lok-inline-check-valve-1-4-x-1-4-push-connect.html * edited - there could be a check valve inside an elbow coming out of membrane instead http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/mur-lok-elbow-check-valve-1-8-male-npt-x-1-4-push-connect.html

2. make sure you have the right sized flow restrictor (must match your membrane gph) on your discharge line -http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/mur-lok-inline-check-valve-1-4-x-1-4-push-connect.html

3. make sure there is no build up on the float valve itself keeping a tight seal from being formed once the valve closes. If enough pressure isnt built up against the ASOV it wont shut down

Flip it upside down while it is running. Helps get air bubbles out of the valve. If it is the one in the actual ro not the float
