Pineapple Sponge good or evil?

I noticed yesterday that I have about 5 or 6 of these fuzzy little sponges in my sump on the live rock. After doing some reading I found out they are pineapple sponges. There are a lot of mixed reactions on keeping them or scrubbing them off. Opinions?

IMO they are good in your sump. As far as I know they are filter feeders that eat the junk particles out of the water. I have plenty of them in my sump / fuge.

Good to know! At first I wasn't sure if something nasty fell in the sump lol

sponges are good cleaners. The pineapples tend to replicate really fast, but they are easy to scape off if they are somewhere you don't want them. I wouldn't think of them as a pest.
