Honestly if your tank isn't that big I wouldn't use the florescent lights unless you want them to transition morning and night. But one again the reflector isn't anything special. Just sheet metal it would be very easy to modify.
2 ushio 20k mh, they have about 13-14 months 10hr a day. I find know about the t-12 I never used them. They were on it when I got it. I left them in to prevent damage to the end caps.
