Hello all, it's been a while!! I'll jump right in......
With me being gone on the road every other week, it's time for me to try and do something with my 120G. I originally took it down so that we could redo the floor in the room that it's in, and try and convert it to a freshwater paladarium. But I've come to realize I just don't have much time to do that, or keep track of such a large tank. So.......I'd like to trade for something smaller.
I did this last year with Adam (amonchak), for the 210 Gallon that he has in his garage at the moment. So this 120G is the one that Adam traded me for. So, if you have questions, beyond what's in this thread, Adam might also be able to help out, though I should be able to answer them all.
Again, it's a 120G, with dimensions 4ft x 2ft x 3ft. The tank will include:
1. Tank - no major scratches that I could see. Does have one small chip on the back left corner, but totally insignificant. It's been running with me, for about a year, and not sure how long with Adam, or the previous owners. So definitely not an issue. It has two overflows in the back corners.
2. Stand (could use a staining, or repainting, depending on where it'll be going), nothing too fancy
3. Canopy - Made by Adam. Again, nothing to fancy, but it looks good, and does the trick. Could be painted or finished. It has two doors in the front for quick feedings, and the whole top opens to work on/install lights
4. 30 liter sump - This was built by Vince at Great White Aquatics. Has baffles, and is ready to go!!
I had the tank running on NO skimmer, because the skimmer I had was WAY to big when I downgraded with Adam. So i'd be running purely on filtration media ever since. Also, at the moment, no lights are included. I've got lights, but I'm hoping that they'll just go onto the smaller tank that I'd be downgrading too. I still think it'd be a great way to upgrade, only having to buy some equipment. Again, it may not be the greatest looking tank in the world, but with a little TLC it could definitely look amazing!! It has sand (fine white) in it still, from the breakdown, that you could have if you want.
Now for what I'm looking for. Ideally, I'll like to trade down for two small tanks. Something like a 12G and a 29G, even if they're close to being bare bones. I'd like for them to have stands, but it's not a deal breaker. I'll be adding my lights, and some other filtration stuff, so it doesn't necessarily need any of that, or any top notch stuff. If I can't acquire two smaller tanks, I'd be ok with one tank, if it was a little nicer. Maybe a nice 29G or 34G. In this scenario, I'd like this one tank to be a little nicer, since it'd be a 120G for a much smaller tank. If that makes sense haha!!!
I will try and get pictures up in the next day or so. Right now it looks crappy cause it's not totally broken down, but I'll take some pictures, and try and find some pictures of when it was setup. If no trades, I'll probably just bite the bullet and reset it up, but in my mind, at this point, that's last ditch effort haha!! Also, before anybody asks, I'm in FOCO, but if you're interested I'm sure we could work something out. If I can think of anything else, I'll add. I know most people don't know me here, so I can also point you to some people who do, in case you have some reservations
. Thanks for looking, much appreciated!!
