Proper Glass Thickness on 40 Breeder?

Hello all,

I am new to the forum, and getting back into Salt Water Aquaria. I plan to look at a used 40 gallon breeder tomorrow for my sump build - but want to verify that its designed for water ( and not buying a terrrarium). Can anyone verify proper glass thickness on a 40 breeder? I have read conflicting responses- 1/4, 5/16 etc.

I have a 40 breeder by Aqueon and it is 1/4"

Just measured one of mine - sides are 1/4. I cannot see the bottom.
