I have no idea on some of the other BOD's professional backgrounds, but I look at being on the BOD as almost a 2nd job.
I speak from experience when I say this whole situation was handled poorly. I have had to fire someone, it is not fun. and it is not a decision to take lightly. It took me almost a month to come to the conclusion that I had to fire this person. When I finally did, I sat down with this person and we both learned a lot. I learned how I could have prevented it in the first place, and what to look out for in the future. I would hope people have learned from this, and if the situation ever comes up again in the club, or in life, they will be better equipped to handled it.
