Hey guys...

Has anyone here dealt with an outbreak of red cotton candy algae? I have an ongoing fight with it, water changes help, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a more effiecient way?
I assume this is a phospate driven problem?

Any tips much appreciated!
Thanks
Dave

I have it in my fuge. I manually pick it out and got a few turbo snails in there. I also let my cheato overgrow like crazy for a month to choke it out. It's almost gone!

Take a few pic of it..... I'm thinking its controllable by maintaining higher mag and using trochus snails and emerald crabs.

Here's what mine looked like: a maroon color.

Here's my cheato choked fuge!
