Replacement RO Filters

I believe my RO system is due for filter changes. It is a 4 stage Kent Marine Hi-S 60 GPD unit. Are all RO filters standards sizes where they are interchangeable between the dozens of brands out there?

For your system yes the filters and membranes are 99% the same. However if you swap the membrane make sure you get the same gpd as the 60gpd you have, otherwise if you change to higher gpd you will also have to make sure you swap in the right flow restrictor for that particular gpd membrane. HTH

Most of the membrane replacement I see is either 75 GPD or 50 GPD. If I get something lower than 60 GPD do I still need the right flow restrictor?

Yes you always need to match the flow restrictor otherwise you will have issues. For instance your auto shut-off might not and it will be constantly discharging. Also you may not get the proper production rate.
