Don't they recommend over 80 psi to make it more efficient. Maybe I am wrong here just thought I read that somewhere. Fit example mine is 75 gpd but at pressure I make 100+ per day

The over 80 psi rule is for long term longevity of the seals and membrane. I have gotten the lowest impact on di resin usage by staying around 65 psi.

The higher your psi, the greater your daily output will be, but at the same time the higher pressure will allow more particles to pass through the sediment filter and reduce contact time in the carbon stages, which will reduce the ro membrane life. The ideal range is between 60-70 psi, but 80 is still acceptable since fluid mechanics standards call for a minimum factor of safety of 1.5. High 80s would still be pushing it.

You might be an engineer if...You have no life, and you can PROVE it mathematically.
