Rodi water storage

Ok so I found out today the barrel I store my water in is making my water high Tds. What do you guys store your water in and mix your saltwater I had a 50 gallon vertical tub that has a float in it. The day before I do my waterchange i put my salt in with a pump and heater. I use it all in on water change then it fills with fresh water what do you guys do for water storage

how do you know its making your tds high? ...whats the #?
might just try cleaning it out

The Tds of the tap water is 180 after the rodi it's 7 in storage container it was 500 don't ask me how I use every drop of itevery other week. I don't know if the plastic is leaching into it or ?

well if you dont rinse the container the leftover salt could be making it that high

Do u rense your mixer out every time you do a water change?

nope ...never test the tds after it comes out of my rodi either
but i would say before you go replacing your container try cleaning it and see if that helps then you know where its coming from

but i just use a 5 gallon bucket for my solana then it serves as my top off

Wait, are you testing it with salt in it?

No there may have been just residue from my waterchange last week I never rensed the barrel out I didn't think that little bit of salt would make that much difference

Wait, you are using the same container to mix salt? Yes it would make the TDS that high

Yea you cant test TDS if there is salt in the water it will make your TDS meter not read correctly, i doubt your tds is diffrent its just the salt making the meter read incorrectly. I would just base your readings off of the pure water going into the mixing tank.
