Test Kits

#1
I was just wondering which test kits you guys use or recommend as far as the best/most accurate/most bang for the buck?

Several of us have been goibg to the hanna checkers. They are a little more expensive but they are more accurate than doing the drip count

For drip tests I like my salifert, but next time I run out Ill be going hanna as well.
I never trust my drip checks and always wind up doing them twice to double check.

and get a ph monitor. Have yet to get an effective match up using color/drip. Freakin love having real time ph monitoring.

I've got the Hanna Alk and Phos and like them. But I switched to Elos CA. Like it better than the Salifert. Have Salifert Mag right now, but will probably get Elos next time for that too.

You can make your eyes bleed trying to read up on each brand, the problems they've had (or have), or how they vary. While Elos, Salifert, and Hannas all seem to be good enough, none are perfect.

I won some red sea test kits at reefstock last summer. They are very nice! Test well and as easy to use as any other test kit. I highly recommend them and will be replacing them when they are used up with the same kits!
