Unknown sting....

Check this out..... I did some fragging at the shop Sunday and noticed the back of my finger hurting like I touched a black sponge. Didn't notice anything other than the burning itchy feeling...today I noticed a puncture with a red ring around it... View attachment 18940

na.. wasnt wearing them at the time... however, i do always use my glasses as those zoas seem to have a great aim to the face....

It's probably possible... I always got it boxing. It's a fungus that thrives on dirty sweaty areas (think warm salty area...)

touch any pectinia sweepers/favia sweepers? Those have a pretty nasty sting. the only other thing I could think of is a bite of some form.

Wash it with hot water. Hot water kills a lot of marine toxins

that looks like god awful hell. sorry to be blunt and I'm sure on your end you're like "no kidding."

just make sure whatever you do you keep that finger and are clean as can be for a bit.. can't risk getting one of our stupid infections ontop of whatever marine pest got ya.
