What sand do I want?

So I'm still working on getting my nano set up and I'm having trouble deciding what kind of sand to get. I don't care about live or not, so it isn't a factor either way. I'm going to be keeping pretty high flow so I don't want something that will blow around too much but I would also like to avoid crushed coral, and it needs to be white.

I'm hoping someone has a suggestions that I haven't heard of because all I've found is carib-sea. Are there any other good brands?

Go black... sense its a small area you can buy the good stuff that's jet black without breaking the bank. Look at cherubs tank his black looked GREAT when I was there!!!

Yea, I had white when I bought my nano. Switched to black when I moved it and I don't think I'll ever go back to white.

lmao where are your minds!

Couple of things about the black sand, well the kind I got. I got the tahitian moon from super natural
http://www.amazon.com/Super-Naturals-Tahitian-Moon-Aquarium/dp/B0011ZYH9S

It is magnetic so if you drop your glass scraper into it be ready to just buy a new one.

Also it's a fine grain and it does blow around with minimal flow. I have all my flow in the middle of the tank.
I have black and white mixed and I moved my portal down by the sand and when I moved it back up a bunch of black sand was stuck to it but very glad the people that designed the portal were smart enough to make the water side non magnetic so once you separate the two the sand just falls off.

I have considered going black but I would need something non-ferrous probably. Also I don't know if I could ever calm the storm of a too fine sand in this little tank. So any other advice?

I've never had a problem with the sand being constantly thrown up into the water column. I can't remember what the sand I got was called, but I bought it at Vince's place in fort collins. I've had it in a 29 gallon for about a year, and in a 300 and 210, and I've not seen it being constantly thrown about.

It is black. I don't think it's magnetic, but I guess I've never noticed. I clean my glass with a scraper instead of a magnet so I've never tested that theory :)

Seems legit, what is the grain size like? As far as I can tell there are like three main black sand choices. The CaribSea Tropic Isle Tahitian Moon, the CaribSea Arag Alive Hawaiian, and the Super naturals tahitian moon I guess. I guess I'm not really too concerned about the grain size so I'll probably go with the tahitian moon from caribsea.
