I originally wanted to put halides over my cube, but went with LEDs due to the temperature issues. I had halides on my first tank and loved them...LEDs on the last 2 and sadly, am barely impressed.

Time to change it up for the winter

If anybody has a relatively inexpensive 250W halide setup they'd like to sell, please let me know.

Thanks for the link Seth...I'll give it some thought. I'd definitely have one to sell to help out with keeping it affordable...but that shipping cost looks painful. $75? ouch.

Lol yea...I was teased for a minute. I've seen them new for about $100 shipped so that'd probably be the better option for me.

I'm fairly certain mr bush of coral xpressions still has a set of 250w mh for sale, I traded them to him for a LED light. He bought new bulbs and everything for em. Might shoot him a message

Get somebody to get you an OceanLight from AquaMedic. Put a 14K phoenix in it and call it a day.

Cheap MH are no bargain. If you do get DE stuff, then make sure that it has a M80 ballast. I would run most SE stuff on M58, or even M80.

I have some pendants that you can borrow to try stuff out, but I don't want to sell any.

I have allot of used mh stuff bring me a frag or two and you can have it all 4 lights probably a 400 two 250 abd a couple of others I'm in Parker
