Hey everyone,

I am in need of some lightIng for my 180. The Chinese led's I bought in the GB awhile ago are pure crap! They have not worked right since day one. They have a two year warranty and icannot get the to send me new lights. They just want to try and figure out what's going on. I have lost all
my Sps but my Cali tort. So I am desperately trying to find something to help my tank. Please let me know what you have for sale or could lend to me until I get my lights if fixed. Which could take forever /sigh :(. If I can't get something I will be breaking my tank down. I have been too frustrated these last few month.and I am really contemplating.selling it all and getting out.

Sorry to hear of your problems. Have you checked Reef Central? I think I saw some SOLs on there.

Have you tried a sponsor? Tell them the situation and they may be able to help you out. LFSs are usually a lot more flexible than we give them credit for :)

Here is my YouTube link I sent them. They asked me if I could install the drivers myself or have an engineer that can lol. My reply was "no I have no way to do that. Or should I have to. Last I checked I paid for the lights and your product has failed." lesson learned. Don't skimp on lighting..... Ever.
Now only the whites work. No blues. This light has 2 blue to 1 white ratio.

Also, Cris at Aquatic Art stocks the SOLs. He might be willing to help you out. You did say you had a credit there, might be a good time to cash in.

I have no credit there. I wish I did lol. I leave for NY Wednesday and I don't really want to drop $1300 on new Sols. Hoping someone has some used ones that can save me some coin. I want to get my led lights working so I can sell them on Craigslist and help compensate the new lights.

Brent did his own DIY lights and installed drivers. If it's cut and dry I would solder the drivers in for you. Brent aka BPreefer knows alot about wiring up drivers if you need help.

Hopefully when I get back from NY. How many do you have and what are you going to want for them? Do you still have that aqua medic halide fixture around?

You can upgrade the SOLS to Vegas, just a FYI, this was confirmed on AI's facebook page.

Yep for 250.00 per unit plus new controller... not a very wise idea when i can sell and buy new vega's for cheaper then upgrading

Wow this sucks! I know that the one I ordered that is now on magic mikes
Tank stop working too, and only the whites work. Mike has tried to get with the them with no luck.

This sucks and sorry Scott, I feel bad because I got you in to the group buy.

Replacing the drivers in these should be a simple fix, I dropped an entire unit in my tank, dried it out replaced the three drivers inside and it worked fine, replacing the drivers was simple, required no soldering, opened the unit up, unplugged the old ones and installed the new ones. Have them send new drivers and be done ten minutes after you get them in the mail.

Well I thought I was the only one who had that problem. Only the whites work on all of mine as well. Lesson learned. Don't worry about it Martin, I am running 3 AI Sol blues now. Thanks to djkms :). Now if I can get these fixed and sell them on CL to help offset the costs.

Do you guys all have the dimmable LED's ?? Just wondering cause I know several people that have the regular non dimmable ones and they have all been fine for the last 2 years.
