Hey guys -

My neighbor's kid (13, I think) has been getting interested in reef tanks since he started watching my build. He has a freshwater 55g now. I told him that he should look to start with a 70+.

If anyone has a tank that they are looking to get rid of fairly cheap, please let me know. Something reef ready or a tank that is drillable would be best and any extras are a bonus (like a skimmer, stand, lights, pump, etc.).

I am going to try to give him some of my extra equipment to get started and a lot of the money he is using is coming from helping me do manual labor, lol.

Thanks!

Shawn

hehe - 13 yr old budget cheap. Trying to get him into the hobby for $300 - $400 initial outlay (tank, skimmer, basic light, sump, etc). Figure tank around the $100 - $150 mark might be possible? His dad does good hobbyist woodworking, so stand and canopy are not critical (plus it is a good bonding thing for them) and I am going to help out with any acrylic work.

I just set up my 125 so I have a 75 gal rr with a 20 gal sump. I had a 10 bulb t5 light setup on it it's all for sale. I can do the pump too. I would definitely do new plumbing and reseal it but if you're interested send me a pm

I have a 75g I got from chad, but its tempered so dont think it going to work for my purposes. I'd sell it for what I paid for it at $75. It not reef ready but its a good looking tank and no major scratches or anything that i see
