I'm finally to a point where Kalk paste and aptasia X aren't working. Since I have melenarus and mystery wrasses peppermint shrimp are out of the question and I don't want to chance an aptasia file... So I am down to Berghia Nudis

Anybody local have any or know where to get some?

It seems like these are as hard to find as a picture of WD acro under natural lighting!!

Thanks

Maybe put one in, let him clean it all up and take him back to the LFS :eyebrows:

Those wrasses will also eat the nudis id go w copperband, great addition for a 60 gallon.
+1 those wrasses will munch those nudis like popcorn. Is there a way you could pull the wrasses out into the sump or a holding area for a couple weeks? Dump peps in there and let them do their thing, then realize most will be wrasse food when they finish. Or try the file or butterfly.

I went through the exact process...got completely frustrated. Ran into this on youtube...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWnfnc_IdEo

started doing some research, you can't buy a laser in the USA anymore (something about gun control)... what I did find was you can still legally BUILD one...so I did a bit more research, found a place I could buy the parts. Now? I feel like Darth Vader zapping Aiptasia! I look desperately every weekend for the opportunity to bust it out and fry away. No more problems..

We all know this is an expensive hobby...but I would say the $300 was some of the best I've spent. I also use it to "trim up" my eagle eye polyps when they start to take over.

HA! Only bummer is the laser only lasts about 5 min and you need to re-charge the batteries. pm me and we'll see if we can work something out.

Damn. I'm really don't have the ability to remove any of the wrasses without testing the whole tank apart and the mystery wrasse is a jerk and doesn't like new additions. I'm curious if I keep all of the fish well fed if I can dump a bunch of peppermints in and let them do their thing. With the wrasses fed, MAYBE they won't eat the shrimp!?!?

The laser is really cool but I don't have $300 to spend on it... We have a new baby and my wife didn't go back to work so we're down an income unfortunately.

Thought about renting it out, but the liability on that would be outrageous...they are dangerous. I don't even let anyone in the room while using it and put a shield up between where I'm zapping and my fish so I don't blind them. I've had a couple pms about where you can get the parts.

http://www.survivallaserusa.com/

is where I started...they can direct you to what parts you need and where you can get them. Just send them a customer service message

Ping Sharon at Neptunes. She gets berghia in periodically and will call you when they come in.
